Showtime recently released the preview for the upcoming third seasons of “Billions.”
This show is one of the the best things on television right now. Damien Lewis as Bobby Axelrod is one of the best performances I’ve seen in film or on television in a very long time.
He is powerful and dominating in every single scene he’s in. The exact same can be said for lead women Maggie Siff and Malin Akerman, and I’d be foolish not to recognize Paul Giamatti’s performance.
I came across this show a little late. However, I was hooked the moment I watched the first episode. It didn’t take more than a few days for me to cruise through the whole series.
Everything about it was fascinating to me. It was almost like holding up a mirror to some of the most misunderstood parts of society, especially wealthy men.
See, Axelrod is just as much of a victim as he is a bad guy. That’s what makes the show so great. Can a guy with billions truly be a victim? Of course, but not for the reasons you might think.
That’s just one of the many reasons this show is awesome. It forces the audience to confront some issues that the lamestream media wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole.
