Nick Saban is notorious for keeping his cool no matter the circumstances, but the head coach of the Crimson Tide was simply overcome with emotion after Alabama won the national title on Monday night.

Alabama was trailing Georgia 13-0 at halftime, but Saban and the Tide fought their way back in a wild second half and eventually took home a thrilling, 26-23 overtime victory. Usually, Saban is cool, calm and collected win or lose, but the Alabama head coach could barely keep it together following his team’s huge win on Monday night.

Immediately following the victory while the confetti was still falling Saban recapped the game with ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi, calm as he could be, but eventually couldn’t keep it together any longer.

“It’s just a great win, man. I’m so happy for Alabama fans — great for our players — unbelievable,” Saban began.

Rinaldi was quick to point out that Alabama’s victory on Monday made six total national titles for Nick Saban, tying the current Alabama head coach with the legendary Bear Bryant.

“You know right now, I’m just happy for all these folks here,” Saban said, his voice cracking. “I’m happy for all these folks, I’m happy for our players. I don’t care anything about that, to be honest with you. This was a great win for our players, and I’ve never been happier in my life.”

“Never,” Rinaldi asked. “Never!”

And there you have it. Nick Saban as happy as he’s ever been.
