“Dark Knight” series actor Gary Oldman has a suggestion for who should be the next Batman and it’s awful.
Oldman told TooFab.com, “I would like to see someone like Joaquin Phoenix play it…This is no disrespect to Ben Affleck. I think it really depends on who is at the wheel that lifts it.”

This is honestly so insulting to Christian Bale. Oldman and Bale served on the same screen together for three Batman movies, and he throws out Joaquin Phoenix to be the next legendary super hero. Are you kidding me?
The only person who should ever play Batman ever again for the rest of our lifetimes is Bale. Absolutely nobody else. His performance was too legendary to ever try to be replaced, even though Affleck is currently in the role.
Oldman should be embarrassed with his answer.
