Netflix dropped a trailer for its upcoming futuristic series “Altered Carbon” Thursday.
The plot of the Netflix series, according to Netflix’s YouTube description, is, “In the distant future, human consciousness can be digitized and downloaded into different bodies. Brought back to life after 250 years by Laurens Bancroft (James Purefoy) the richest man on Earth, ex-Envoy soldier Takeshi Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman / Will Yun Lee) must solve Bancroft’s attempted murder for the chance to live again in a world he doesn’t recognize.”
Love that Joel Kinnaman is in this series. He was awesome in “House of Cards,” and it looks like he’s going to be awesome in this too.
Netflix has been absolutely killing it lately. They’re just cranking out great content after great content piece.
You can guarantee that this series will also do extremely well in the Asian markets. It’s almost like it’s been setup in part to hit it big in Japan and China, where stuff of this nature crushes it.
“Altered Carbon” hits Netflix February 2.
