Some people are outraged at the nickname President Trump gave Senator Dick Durbin on Monday.

After Senator Durbin outed Trump to the press for allegedly calling various countries “s**tholes,” Trump claimed Durbin “misrepresented” his words. He also gave him a new moniker.

And just like after every newly christened Trump nickname, Twitter had to try it on for size. Some of his previous nicknames got rave reviews. Everyone loved “Sneaky Diane,” “Low Energy Jeb,” and “Cryin’ Chuck.”

But people weren’t sure about Dicky Durbin. Had Trump gone too far? Not far enough?

Brian Buetler wasn’t impressed.

And others soon followed suit.

It’s pretty interesting that all of a sudden, a lot of commentators are coming forward with their boredom about “Dicky Durbin.” They say it’s uninspired and lazy.

But where’s the outrage about this this being mean? Or immature? There isn’t any. Radio silence. Could it be because most people — on both the left and the right — actually enjoy Trump’s nicknames? That we all secretly love to refer to Kim Jong Un as “Rocket Man?” That it just feels so gratifying to call Hillary “Crooked Hillary?”

The recent criticism of “Dicky Durbin” has zero to do with it being immature and everything to do with people saying it’s just unimaginative. Trump has been and will always be the King Of Nicknames. They’re the best. Everyone loves them.
