Playing Golf In South Florida Is Not A Leisure Sport — This Photo Is Proof

Golf is a leisure sport — there’s no doubt about it — but the game changes when you come across a alligator and a Burmese python when you’re walking down the fairway.

Late last week a group of golfers at Fiddler’s Creek Golf Club in Naples, Florida came across just that. The group was on the tenth hole when they spotted a large alligator munching on an equally large python which was wrapped around it’s body.

Somehow the group of golfers were able to keep their composure enough to snap a few photos before moving on. (SLIDESHOW: The 22 Most Scandalous Photos Of Paulina Gretzky On Instagram)

I guess Floridians are used to seeing things like this on the links, but as a North Carolina native I’m sure as hell not. (SLIDESHOW: The Hottest Wives And Girlfriends Of PGA Golfers)

If I had come across this scene on the golf course, a typical, leisurely round would have immediately transitioned into a full-on emergency evacuation from the course. Forget the golf cart, I would have taken off on foot faster than one of those things can go with the pedal to the metal.

These photos are the stuff of nightmares and just might have ruined my chances of ever playing golf in the Sunshine State.
