James Franco was scrubbed from Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issue after sexual misconduct allegations surfaced, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“We made a decision not to include James Franco on the Hollywood cover once we learned of the misconduct allegations against him,” a Vanity Fair spokesperson told THR. (RELATED: James Franco Denies Sexual Misconduct Allegations Spurred On By The Golden Globes)

According to multiple sources, Franco sat for a photo shoot and an interview and was to be the 13th star on the annual Hollywood cover. He was digitally removed from the photo because multiple women have accused the actor “of behavior they found to be inappropriate or sexually exploitative.” The accusations surfaced after he appeared at the Golden Globe Awards where he wore a “time’s up” pin in support of the #MeToo movement. He has denied the claims.

Franco was recognized at the Golden Globes with the best actor in a musical or comedy award and was believed to be an Oscars contender. When the list came out earlier this week, he did not get a nomination.

Shortly after the allegations surfaced, the actor went on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and said it was important to allow the conversation to happen, while saying that the claims were “not accurate.”

“I pride myself on taking responsibility for things that I’ve done,” Franco said. “I have to do that to maintain my well-being. I do it whenever I know that there is something wrong or needs to be changed. I make it a point to do it. The things that I heard that were on Twitter are not accurate, but I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn’t have a voice for so long. So I don’t want to shut them down in any way. It’s, I think, a good thing, and I support it.”
