Kentucky celebrating like they won the national championship after beating a sub-.500 Vanderbilt team is a ridiculous move.

The Wildcats won 83-81, and their reaction in jarring.

This is so embarrassing for Kentucky and their fans. I wouldn’t even show my face in public if we only beat Vanderbilt by two points. Calipari should have made the entire team stay after the game and run sprints. Kentucky has won multiple national championships and is a national powerhouse.

National powerhouses don’t celebrate by beating Vanderbilt. They can celebrate national titles, conference titles, buzzer beaters in the tournament and major rivalry wins. That’s it, and there are no exceptions to the rule.

I was honestly stunned when I saw this on television this morning. Completely stunned. I would have reamed these players out so damn hard in the locker room. Celebrating beating Vanderbilt? How low can you sink?

This certainly shouldn’t become the norm for Kentucky. They’re too good of a program for this garbage.
