Production on Blake Lively’s spy thriller “The Rhythm Section” will resume in Spain, but not until June, Deadline reported Monday.
Sources told the outlet that production will remain on hold until this summer, to allow time for the 30-year-old actress to heal after she injured her hand during the filming of an action sequence on the set of the movie in Dublin, Ireland, in December. Over the last few weeks, the “Age of Adeline” star has shared several pictures taken from the set that show her looking very different for the upcoming movie sporting a black short wig, among others.
Despite the photos, another report last week by the outlet said that production was put on hold indefinitely to allow Lively time to recuperate.
The upcoming spy movie is based on an adaptation from the first of Mark Burnell’s Stephanie Patrick novels that centers around a woman who “seeks revenge against those who orchestrated a plane crash that killed her family,” according to IMDb.
Other stars who have been filming alongside lively include Jude Law and Daniel Mays.
Despite the set back, “The Rhythm Section” is still slated to hit theaters February 22, 2019.
