Say what you will about Drake, he’s doing his part to make an impact and improve communities.

Earlier this month, the Grammy winning rapper from Toronto visited Miami Senior High School to film a music video for his new song “God’s Plan.”

Before he left, he thanked the high school for hosting him by presenting a check for $25,000 to help improve uniforms and educational programs.

He also gave $50,000 in scholarship money to a University of Miami student, $10,000 to a Miami community music program, donated $50,000 to a homeless shelter and gave 130 homeless women gift certificates to Target, and paid $50,000 worth of groceries for everyone in a local Miami supermarket.

And Drake’s generosity is showing no sign of slowing down, because this week he met a hotel maid at Miami’s Fontainebleau who commutes four hours on a busy each way to support her five children.

So Drake enlisted the help of Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown to give Odalie Paret the day of a lifetime.

She got a spa massage, a lobster dinner at the upscale Miami Beach restaurant StripSteak, and nearly an hour of unlimited shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Paret told the Miami Herald she picked out a pair of comfortable $800 shoes for church, four perfumes, a $2,000 designer handbag, and a $6,000, 18-karat gold diamond necklace. When all was said and done, Paret had spent about $10,000.

Drake says he wanted to help Odalie Paret specifically after he read an article about Miami’s growing inequality gap. “There’s nothing like seeing people experience a joyful moment when you can tell they need it the most,” the rapper posted to his Instagram recently.
