We’re officially two weeks away from the release of Hulu’s new limited series “The Looming Tower.”

The plot of the new mini-series, according to Hulu’s description on YouTube, is:

Divided we fail. The Looming Tower is a new limited series that traces the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and how the rivalry between the FBI and CIA may have inadvertently set a path for the tragedy of 9/11. Premieres February 28, only on Hulu.

Based on the Pulitzer-Prize winning book, The Looming Tower traces the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda in the late 1990s and how the rivalry between the FBI and CIA during that time may have inadvertently set the path for the tragedy of 9/11. The series follows members of the I-49 Squad in New York and Alec Station in Washington, D.C., the counter-terrorism divisions of the FBI and CIA, respectively, as they travel the world fighting for ownership of information while seemingly working toward the same goal – trying to prevent an imminent attack on U.S. soil.

Jeff Daniels stars in the lead role as John O’Neil. Take a look at the previews. Anybody interested in politics, foreign affairs, the war on terror, 9/11, the CIA or the FBI will almost certainly find them interesting.

I’ve been huge on this show ever since I first stumbled across it, and I can’t wait to watch it when it’s released February 28.

Most of America is fascinated by 9/11. We all pretty much know the story of everything that happened the day of, and the days, months and years that followed. However, I’d be lying if we said most people know the backstory. I don’t even know the backstory incredibly well, and I actually spent a decent amount of time studying the subject in school.

That’s why I’m so eager to check out the series. Hopefully it gets right into the dirty details of how the government overlooked threats in the 1990s, which allowed the attack to happen.

I also heard from somebody that watched a short snipped of the series. They said it’s outstanding, so let the hype train get fired up.
