Christie Brinkley believes “ageism is the last frontier” in the modeling world.

“Every woman wants and deserves to be represented in all media. We are making strides but not enough,” the 64-year-old super model captioned her post on Instagram Thursday, along with a screenshot of an article in People magazine titled, “Christie Brinkley, 64, Cautions Against Ageism in Modeling: ‘My Age Group Matters.”

“Ageism is the last frontier and regardless of race, size gender it’s a category we will ALL InHabit someday someday.. if we’re lucky,” she added.

“I have to constantly be reminding people that my age group matters, that we are relevant, and that we want to be represented,” Brinkley shared in the People piece. “As an older woman in modeling, I think there is a little bit of a ‘maybe we can get her at less of a price because she’s an older model.’ But I’d like to remind everybody that we are 100 percent as relevant as anyone else.”

Last year, Brinkley made headlines when she appeared in the 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine alongside her daughters, Sailor Brinkley Cook and Alexa Ray Joel.

To say the super model looked amazing in her magazine spread would be an understatement. Clearly, she has found the fountain of youth.
