Wiig is likely to play Cheetah, a DC Comics female villain introduced in 1943 and known for her physical prowess. In previous adaptations, Cheetah has been portrayed as a wealthy scientist known as Dr. Barbara Minerva, who gains superhuman feline powers after traveling deep into an African jungle. It’s unclear whether the upcoming adaptation of “Wonder Woman” will follow a similar storyline.

We do know that Patty Jenkins, the director of “Wonder Woman,” will serve as director again. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 1, 2019.
