Carrie Underwood came out with a brand new song and music video, just months after revealing she had over 40 stitches put into her face after taking a scary fall.

The song is called “The Champion” and it features popular rapper Ludacris.

Underwood has been careful about showing her face to the public since her injury in November. All of her Instagram posts have kept her face relatively hidden. And this video looks like no exception. Her face is strategically covered throughout almost the entire video and focuses a lot more on the storyline than Underwood herself.

“When I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different,” Underwood wrote in January. “I’m hoping that, by then, the differences are minimal, but, again, I just don’t know how it’s all going to end up.”
