The rumblings about LeBron James leaving Cleveland at the end of this NBA season concludes get louder every day. Chatter that he’ll make the move to Philly, Los Angeles, or maybe even Miami has ramped up. And now the people have spoken again. They want him in Pittsburgh.

Now I know what you’re thinking. Pittsburgh? There’s no NBA team in Pittsburgh. Surely this girl is mistaken.

And I would say to you that you’re right. There is no team in Pittsburgh. And don’t call me a girl. It’s 2018 and I’m an established 24 year old.

The truth of the matter is that Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has been lobbying hard for LeBron to get him to make the transition into the NFL.

“Announcing my official campaign to recruit @KingJames to the Pittsburgh Steelers for the 2018 season. LeBron has done everything in the NBA. He can be the best athlete EVER if he makes the move to the NFL and wins a Super Bowl with Steeler Nation,” he posted to Twitter Tuesday afternoon.

Now listen. This plea isn’t realistic at all. We’re not even sure that LeBron’s going to leave Cleveland after this season. The chance of him making a move into the NFL and likely taking a substantial payout is slim to none. That being said, it would make for a very interesting season. The Steelers looked pretty good this year, and with Big Ben getting older and dustier by the minute, Tomlin’s gonna need to lay a fresh QB into the mix. I’m not saying LeBron is the man for the job, all I’m saying is he’s 6’5″, 250 lbs and can probably hock a football if need be. I’m not trying to do Pittsburgh’s job for them, all I’m saying is that JuJu might be on to something.
