“Legion,” currently the freakiest show on television and the best non-streaming Marvel series, dropped a new trailer on Twitter Tuesday. The show is set to return April 3.

“Legion” is the best Marvel show on cable because it’s original and terrifying, has a solid cast, and has carefully constructed episodes. Its brevity makes this trailer all the more exciting.

The first season focused on David Haller, a mentally unstable mutant with insane telepathic abilities that often make him, and the viewers, question the very fabric of reality in the show.

Dan Stevens is back as Haller, and the show appears to pick up right where it left off. Aubrey Plaza makes a few brief appearances in the trailer. Her portrayal of the villain in the first season swung from crazy to seductive to disgusting. She’s a great villain, and it’s good to see she’s back.

The trailer has some bizarre moments, including what appears to be a musical number with Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords, who appeared in the first season.

Not much can be gathered from the trailer other than that it looks to be very similar to the first season, continuing to take the story in a great direction. April 3 can’t come fast enough.
