I’ve got some very bad news surrounding my favorite saying of “shoot your shot.”
It appears that it has gone mainstream, and that is bad news for me. You can’t imagine my shock when I got onto Twitter and saw the headline “Terrell Owens Shoots His Shot With Iggy Azalea, You Can Burn My Clothes!” from TMZ.

What is going on here? Do I have to change everything I do? I’m a renegade fringe class character who has made a living by doing whatever I want. Do you think I live to be part of the mainstream? Hell no, I don’t.
Saying “shoot your shot” has been one of my favorite things to do ever since I was a young boy. Nothing’s better than locking eyes with a nice young woman, looking over at your buddy and asking if it’s time to shoot your shot with her. For me, it often fails miserably, but it’s the spirit that matters. I get out there and game the best that I can. That’s what shooting your shot and being a member of the fringe class is all about.
Now, I’m just a man with a lost soul. I’ve gone mainstream, which is something I promised to never do. I’m like a guy wandering aimlessly through a park. What does life mean? What does my existence mean if it happens inline with everybody else? I don’t know the answers to these questions, and I’m not sure that I want to.
In the meantime, I’ll keep shooting my shot until I find out what to do. Hopefully all these posers around the internet get lost, and I can go back to exclusively using my language and cool saying.
