Watch The Newest Trailer For ‘Sicario 2: Day Of The Soldado’

David Hookstead | Reporter

A new trailer for “Sicario 2: Day of the Soldado” was released Monday night, and it should have fans going wild with anticipation for the new movie.

The plot of the sequel, according to IMDB, is, “The drug war on the US-Mexico border has escalated as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the US border. To fight the war, federal agent Matt Graver re-teams with the mercurial Alejandro.”

Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro are both returning in their original roles, but Emily Blunt is nowhere to be found in the new movie.

The latest trailer also seems to make it appear that Del Toro and Brolin won’t be on the same side anymore, but will be facing down each other’s guns.

Are you juiced right now? I certainly know I am. “Sicario” was one of the coolest movies I’ve ever seen, and it looks like the sequel will be right up there too.

Hopefully the sequel is full of all the intensity, suspense and action of the original. You can catch “Sicario 2: Day of the Soldado” in theaters June 29.
