My fears about March Madness being awful without my Wisconsin Badgers playing have officially been put to rest.
I live for Wisconsin basketball, and I saw 19 straight years of March Madness appearances during my life. This year was rocky, it was bad, it was rough and it was brutal at times. My guys obviously didn’t make the tournament.
I was worried that March Madness would be an awful experience without being able to watch Wisconsin. How would I ever be able to get excited knowing that I didn’t have a chance to win a ring? It was a brutal outlook.
Well, I’m happy to report that this March Madness has actually been pretty fun. In fact, my stress levels are probably at an all-time low thanks to the fact I know that Wisconsin won’t be winning anything. It’s a weird place to be in. Obviously, I much prefer for Wisconsin to be playing. That shouldn’t even have to be said, but it is refreshing not to have to worry.
All I’m doing now is crushing beers and letting the the chips fall where they may. I never thought it’d be this easy, but it sure is. I guess I just have more time to game plan for next season because we’re coming for that championship.
