The opening day of baseball season is finally upon us and so far it’s been well worth the wait.

The Chicago Cubs and Miami Marlins were the first two teams to take the field in the 2018 season and it didn’t take long for the action to start. (RELATED: Opening Day Of Baseball Is One Of The Dumbest Days In All Of Sports)

Ian Happ of the Cubs was the first player to step up to bat and cranked a home run on the very first pitch from Jose Urena.

Happ’s homer kicked off a three-run opening inning for the Cubs, but the Marlins have already managed to even the score down in Miami in a game that is still going on. (RELATED: Donald Trump Praises The Houston Astros For Their Response To Hurricane Harvey)
