Cameron Diaz stepped out of the spotlight a few years back and the actress has finally revealed why: she is retired.
A few weeks ago Selma Blair, who starred alongside Diaz in “The Sweetest Thing” revealed that Diaz was “done” and admitted that she doesn’t “know what it would take to bring her back.” On Thursday Blair, Diaz and their other co-star Christina Applegate sat down with Entertainment Weekly for an interview during which Diaz confirmed the news.

During the candid discussion the three actresses realized that they haven’t spent much time together since getting together for the movie back in 2000.
“Why not?” Diaz wondered out loud before suggesting that they reunite sometime. “I mean, I’m down. I’m literally doing nothing.”
“I’m literally doing nothing, too!” Applegate added. “I’m semi-retired, I haven’t worked for years. I’m a mom, that’s what we do. So I’m around, man.”
“That’s so awesome. I’m totally down,” Diaz responded. “I’m semi-retired, too, and I am actually retired, so I would love to see you ladies.”
Hopefully she’s joking, but if not it explains where she’s been over the past four years.
