Former University of Houston quarterback Kyle Allen is reportedly getting NFL teams to take him seriously.

Ian Rapoport recently tweeted, “Sleeper QB to watch: Former #TAMU and #Houston QB Kyle Allen. The one-time No. 1 recruit in the country impressed at #Texans Pro Day & threw at the #AZCardinals local Pro Day, too. Generating a ton of individual workouts from teams all over the draft board.”

How is this possible? Kyle Allen couldn’t even cut it in college. He couldn’t even cut it as a starter at Houston! Why would anybody think this guy has a serious NFL arm. He has thrown one pass, which was an incompletion, since September 23 of his junior season at Houston.

Am I losing my mind or has the NFL gone crazy. How is a guy that can’t ball out against Houston supposed to lead an NFL team? It’s not going to happen. I have no idea what is going here, but any GM that thinks Allen is the real deal should lose his job immediately.

Now, it’s one thing for a team to sign him as a camp arm and maybe put him on the practice squad. He had some serious potential coming out of high school, but that was a long time ago. Things change quickly in the world of football. I just don’t see this ending well.
