UPDATE: The case presented to the L.A. District Attorney’s Office will be tossed out because the claims do not fall within the statute of limitations, TMZ reports.

The Los Angeles district attorney is reviewing sex crimes against Kevin Spacey, according to a new report by CNN.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department presented the case to prosecutors on April 5. No further action has been taken since that time, but there will certainly be more to come after the district attorney’s office finishes their review.

Kevin Spacey was one of dozens of Hollywood stars to be accused of sexual misconduct in the wake of the bombshell reports that brought down Harvey Weinstein. In the weeks that followed, Spacey’s alleged victims came forward with countless claims against the actor ranging from sexual harassment to assault. Spacey initially responded to the claims against him with an apology in which he also came out as homosexual. The outrage against the “House of Cards” star only increased after that and he has remained out of the public eye, reportedly seeking treatment for sex addiction.
