Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day in Israel, and it’s another dark reminder of the horrors of WWII.

Millions of Jewish men, women and children died at the hands of Adolf Hitler’s evil Nazi regime. It’s something that we should never forget.

One of my earliest memories of learning about the Holocaust was when I watched “Band of Brothers.”

The men of the 101st Airborne liberate a small concentration camp in the highly successful HBO series. The visuals are jarring. The people are so skinny that they look like they’re dead, and the American medics won’t even allow them to eat food out of fear that it could kill them.

Forgetting the Holocaust is a mistake that people on this planet can’t afford to make. The terrible events of WWII are a constant reminder of what happens when evil is allowed to conquer, and good men wait way too long before getting involved.

Also, I’d encourage everybody to see “Band of Brothers” if you haven’t already. It’s an incredible mini-series.
