A reporter for the UK publication Daily Mail has been terminated after she fired off a pretty hot take about the contestants for ABC’s hit dating show “Bachelor In Paradise.”

The Guardian, another UK based publication, calls the incident an “accident,” but I’ll let you be the judge of that.

On Sunday night, an unnamed Daily Mail Australia reporter was venting/reporting on the “Bachelor In Paradise” contestants in a Google Document, which was later uploaded to the Daily Mail’s site. Here’s a little sample of what said reporter wrote:

Florence initially rose to fame on Matty J’s season of The Bachelor, before unsuccessfully trying her luck at love again in Paradise.

But most people who were educated at a high-school level know these vapid c*nts only go on the shows to find mediocre Instagram fame and make a living promoting teeth whiteners and unnecessary cosmetic procedures.

Yeesh. Really not a good look, Daily Mail. I’m pretty sure you don’t ‘accidentally’ write the c-word and let it rip in a live, published article. I know they go hard in Australia but even if this reporter was blitzed out of her mind and being chased by like 10 great white sharks at the same time, she has zero excuse to write something like this.

Are people who compete on “The Bachelor” rocket scientists? Not likely. I think they had a urologist on once. But the vast majority of them aren’t exactly brainiacs. But that’s the whole premise of the show. Nobody’s watching to get an education. We’re watching it for the entertainment value.

Daily Mail Australia issued an apology shortly after the piece was published. A spokesman for the company said, “Daily Mail Australia would like to apologise for inappropriate language that appeared on an article published by this site on Sunday morning. The story about Bachelor in Paradise star Florence Alexandra contained offensive wording that should not have been included. As soon as we became aware of the mistake, the wording was removed. The Daily Mail Australia apologises for any offence taken by either our readers or contestants of the show.”

The reporter has since been fired but the damage has been done.  The “Bachelor In Paradise” contestant referenced in the article says she’s taking legal action. Really bad looks for Daily Mail all around.
