The show-stopping tennis star Maria Sharapova turns 31 today, and we are celebrating her by looking back at her greatest career moments.

Beginning at the age of 4, Sharapova started picking up a racket when her family lived in Russia. When she and her father packed up their bags with little to nothing, she moved onto a path of greatness, turning professional at the age of 14.

Winning five Grand Slam titles despite her shoulder injury in 2007 and her doping incident, Sharapova came out on top and headed back to the pros both times.

While revered as one of the top players of the game, Sharapova has a competitive rivalry with Serena Williams, losing the gold medal in the 2012 Olympics, but beating her in the 2004 Wimbledon.

Despite the rivalry, Sharapova broke records becoming the tenth woman to complete a career Grand Slam, winning all four major tennis tournaments.

Even as Sharapova turns another year older and has accomplished so much in her career already, she still has plenty more time on the court to show up these tennis players.
