Duchess Of Cambridge Kate Middleton gave birth to her third child on Monday morning and, for the most part, the people of England rejoiced.

The baby boy will be fifth in line for the throne. And if it seems like he has a long way to go before he gets a shot at being the king of England, CNN is concerned about spare heir Prince Harry’s road to the throne instead.

And of all people, Harry Potter novelist and noted leftist tweeter J.K. Rowling called the network out for it. (RELATED: J.K. ROWLING PENS SHOCKING STATEMENT ABOUT JOHNNY DEPP)

Naturally, Rowling took some time to self-congratulate after her initial tweet.

CNN seems to be fixated on Prince Harry’s road to the throne. In between their coverage of Michael Cohen and Trump tweets, they’re breaking down the royal family succession with British Royal correspondent Max Foster.

“The rules were changed to take out sexism in the line of succession so if that hadn’t happened, this baby would have actually been fourth in line to the throne and Charlotte would go down a notch,” Foster reported. “As it is, the older sister at this point will keep her position in the line of succession.”

CNN promptly turned the conversation back to Harry after the announcement, which seems a little off color.

Gloating aside, Rowling has a point here. It’s pretty bizarre that CNN would almost casually insinuate a coup in the royal family. I get that the US is a democracy and Americans have a hard time deciphering the relevance/importance of the royal family, but this crosses a line. And while I usually disagree with 99% of what J.K. Rowling has to say, she’s right on the money here.

CNN needs to get it in check.
