Is This The Worst First Pitch Ever? The Video Suggests It Is

Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, one of the hosts of “American Ninja Warriors,” threw out the first pitch at the Giants and Phillies game Thursday, and it was one he’ll never live down.

Gbaja-Biamila lifted his leg and tossed the ball, but it bounced even before reaching the dirt around home plate. It was wide right — way right — and a camera man had to dodge the toss.

Gbaja-Biamila retweeted a video of the pitch and tweeted at Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasberg because they both attended college at San Diego State University.

Before becoming the host of “America’s Ninja Warrior,” he spent four years in the NFL playing defensive end and linebacker for the Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers and Miami Dolphins.

Gbaja-Biamila’s pitch will now join the running for worst first pitches of all time. He’s contending for the spot against 50 Cent and former Cincinnati mayor Mark Mallory.

Hopefully he’ll have a chance to redeem himself.
