Everybody’s Favorite Summer TV Show Is Coming To An End
TNT’s hit show “The Last Ship” will end after its upcoming fifth season.
The Hollywood Reporter reported the following:
TNT is docking The Last Ship.
The Turner-owned cable network has officially decided that the upcoming fifth season of the Eric Dane starrer will be its last.
TNT president Kevin Reilly confirmed the news Wednesday at Turner’s upfront presentation to Madison Avenue ad buyers in New York.
During its run, The Last Ship consistently ranked as one of basic cable’s top 10 summer series.
Damn, this is some unfortunate news. I don’t like this at all. “The Last Ship” is an incredible show, and I can’t even tell you how much time I’ve spent watching it. I used to look forward to it every summer in college and every summer since. It’s a great time to just make some popcorn and crush a few beers.
The plots were awesome, and I hope the fifth season is, too. It’s just a bunch of American heroes saving the world from an epidemic and evildoers. It’s the greatest kind of plot to get behind.
What will I watch now? What will fill the void? There are so many questions, and I don’t have answers for any of them.
Adam Baldwin, who plays Slattery on the show, even tweeted his goodbyes today after the news broke.

It’s been a hell of a run, and now we just need to make sure that we go out on top.
