The Washington Capitals Are Bound For The Stanley Cup Final. It’s About To Get Lit

I was just as shocked and stunned as the rest of you last night when the Washington Capitals punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup final.

As usual, one of my co-workers hosted a small gathering to take in game seven against the Tampa Bay Lightning with a score of 4–0. You could have cut the tension in the room prior to puck drop with a knife. We were all thinking the same thing. Can the Caps actually get the job done? (SLIDESHOWHOCKEY RINKS MIGHT BE COLD, BUT THESE WOMEN ARE SCORCHING HOT)

The answer was a resounding yes. It was an absolute ass-kicking on every level. It looked like men against boys out there on the ice.

The beer was flowing, the atmosphere was hyped and people were going nuts. We all knew what was on the horizon, but nobody wanted to relax until it became clear that we were headed for a shot at the Cup.

I wouldn’t have believed it if you told me a few days ago that I’d be sitting here today and the Caps would be four great games of hockey away from winning it all, but that’s why we love hockey.
