Anthony Bourdain’s Girlfriend Releases Statement Following Suicide
Anthony Bourdain’s girlfriend broke her silence just hours after learning about his shocking suicide.
Asia Argento, a 42 year old Italian actress who also worked on Bourdain’s show, “Parts Unknown,” had a very public relationship with the CNN host. They frequently posted photos of each other on social. media.
So today in a prepared statement, Argento expressed her sorrow after learning of Bourdain’s passing.
“Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did. His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds. He was my love, my rock, my protector,” she said. “I am beyond devastated. My thoughts are with his family. I would ask that you respect their privacy and mine.”
Rumors that the couple had split earlier this week swirled after Argento was recently photographed holding another man’s hand in Italy, however it has not been confirmed and neither have commented on the matter. The photos were taken off the internet shortly after news of Bourdain’s death broke.
