The College Football World Should Fear Wisconsin For One Simple Reason
The Wisconsin Badgers sound like they might have the greatest quarterback recruit in America, and that’s bad news for everybody else.
Everybody knows that the Badgers are known for always have an outstanding offensive line, great running backs and blue-collar defense. Those three ingredients have built Wisconsin into a powerhouse.
Our quarterback play is generally speaking pretty marginal. Hornibrook is solid right now, but we haven’t had a great quarterback since Russell Wilson. We all know what happened that season, and the highlights were incredible. Wisconsin fans have always said we could be in for great things with a major quarterback. Well, I’ve got some good news because our quarterback recruit Graham Mertz sounds like he might be the best high school quarterback in the country.
I’ve heard from coaches that Wisconsin QB Graham Mertz is the best QB recruit nationally and gotta say, he looks damn good at Elite 11.

Look at this kid’s arm. Unbelievable.

I can’t wait to see this kid in a Badgers uniform. We sit him for a year behind Hornibrook, and then hand him the reins to the program as a redshirt freshman. Who else is pumped to see him on the cover of Sports Illustrated holding four national championship trophies?
This kid is going to be outstanding in red and white, and Wisconsin fans are all about to find out if we’re really just one quarterback away from four years of absolute domination.
The most important question is how long Saban waits before bolting back to the NFL when he realizes this kid pretty much guarantees Wisconsin ends the Alabama era of domination. I’m guessing he’s gone in a year or two.
Bring on the rings. This kid is going to be a stud.
