We’ve got our first picture from the set of the upcoming movie “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”

Leonardo DiCaprio tweeted out a photo of him and fellow co-star Brad Pitt posing on set Wednesday, and they look like they’re in perfect form for the film, which takes place in 1969. Take a look at the photo below. (RELATED: BRAD PITT, LEONARDO DICAPRIO SET TO STAR IN UPCOMING CHARLES MANSON FILM)

The Hollywood Reporter reported the following details on the upcoming film:

Sony Pictures announced the project in February. Tarantino — who is directing and producing the film, for which he also wrote the script — describes it as “a story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), former star of a Western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate.”

I don’t know about all of you guys, but I’m extremely excited for this movie. The crimes of Charles Manson and his cult are some of the most disgusting crimes ever committed in the history of this country.

If there’s one person who could put an incredible spin on the events, there’s no doubt in my mind it’s Quentin Tarantino.

Let’s break down the situation. We’ve got a story about one of the most famous crimes ever committed, we’ve got superstars Pitt and DiCaprio starring and we’ve got Tarantino running the show. I believe this is what we call a winning project. I have no doubt this movie will kick ass, and I’ll be seeing it in theaters for sure.

“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is scheduled to be released August 9, 2019.
