Charles Barkley put Lakers fans in their place on Tuesday night, after he was asked by TMZ about if the Lakers could win the title next year.

“He not gonna win next year. Stop it, dude.”

Barkley said that he doesn’t know how many years it will be until the Lakers could compete for a title, but they need more pieces and need to learn how to play together.

“It depends on who they bring in here,” the broadcaster told TMZ. “Magic has done a fantastic job, him and Rob. LeBron’s a great player, but they need to get better.”

The TMZ reporter asked Barkley if he thought Kobe Bryant could come back to the league to play with James. Barkley had a shocked look on his face and said, “Kobe’s 62 years old man…No, no man. Stop it man. Kobe’s not coming back.

“If Kobe comes back, it will be in the Big 3. Trust me.”

He was also asked about the Golden State Warriors’ signing DeMarcus Cousins, and if the league should take action to stop “super-teams.”

“You know I hate super-teams, man. Stop it,” Barkley said. “I don’t know if they can do anything now, but I hate super-teams. I don’t think it’s gonna be good for the league in the long run. It’s unfortunate.”

This is why everyone loves Charles Barkley. He is not afraid to say what is on his mind when it comes to the NBA. He holds nothing back, and that is why he one of the most successful former NBA player broadcasters.
