Tim Tebow’s mom Pamela made it clear she doesn’t know if he’ll play for the Mets this season, but she’s hopeful.
“I’m not privy to any of that information. So, I have absolutely no idea. We’re partial, so we would vote for him to go up to the majors, but, it’s not up to us,” she told TMZ when asked if he’d be getting up to the big league for the Mets this season. It’s kind of crazy how so many people thought the Mets signing Tebow as a complete joke, but here we are in the summer of 2018 with a different point of view. He’s now being viewed as a legit MLB prospect. (RELATED: TIM TEBOW HAS AN OFFER ON THE TABLE TO RETURN TO PRO FOOTBALL)
I’ve been pretty open about the fact that I’m not an expert on baseball by any metric or measurement. But I’d still love to Tebow get some swings for the Mets. Not because I give a damn about the Mets, but I think it’d just be awesome.
He’d be a great draw for ticket sales and television exposure. There’s no chance in hell Tebow’s games for the Mets aren’t a national television event. Let’s make it happen, and then watch people’s heads explode as Tebow once again plays on one of the biggest stages in all of sports.
