Superstar Rapper Expected To Spend Up To 10 Days In Jail For Horrifying Reason

Superstar rapper Tekashi69, real name Daniel Hernandez, was arrested at JFK airport in New York on Wednesday and is now being held in custody, TMZ reports.

Tekashi69 had an outstanding arrest warrant that was issued this spring for allegedly choking a 16-year-old at a Texas mall back in January. Tekashi69’s legal team was reportedly aware of the arrest warrant and planned to deal the matter — but they didn’t exactly specify how. (RELATED: Unsurprisingly, A Rapper Named Tekashi69 Got Into The World’s Most Pitiful Fistfight Today)

And now that Tekashi69 has been apprehended by authorities in New York, he stands to spend some hard time in jail before Texan authorities can take the matter over. (RELATED: Star Rapper Arrested. The Reason Why Is Disturbing)

“A rep for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office tells us Tekashi was just arraigned and is now in custody until a tentative date of July 20,” TMZ reported. “We’re told authorities from Houston are then expected to pick him up on an arrest warrant issued by a judge back in May.”

This is hardly Tekashi69’s first run-in with the law. He was arrested back in May for allegedly assaulting a police officer in New York after he was stopped for a traffic violation.
