The Latest ‘Yellowstone’ Episode Was Nothing Short Of Incredible [SPOILERS]

David Hookstead | Reporter

We got another outstanding episode of “Yellowstone” Wednesday night.

WARNING: THERE ARE GOING TO BE SERIOUS SPOILERS BELOW. DO NOT KEEP READING IF YOU ARE NOT CAUGHT UP.

This show hasn’t slowed down since starting up, and last night wasn’t any different. There were three main points that I want to touch on.

The first point deals with Kayce. He absolutely smoked two men who kidnapped a young Indian girl. The youngest Dutton son didn’t even hesitate to blow them away. Bullets were flying down range the moment he identified the threat. That puts Kayce at a kill count of four through the first three episodes.

Now, every person he’s killed so far has had it coming. He’s clearly the hero of the show, but he’s got a tormented soul. The only question is, how many more killings can he get away with? It doesn’t seem realistic for him to keep popping off people through the final four episodes without consequences of any kind.

Secondly, we learned John Dutton’s (Kevin Costner) wife Evelyn was killed when his daughter Beth was being an idiot on a horse. We now know what has driven Beth to be the person she is in the modern day, and what happened to the mother of all the Dutton children. Past that, we don’t know how this will play out. Yes, we know the backstory, but where are we going with this information? That’s the part yet to be determined. (RELATED: KEVIN COSTNER’S NEW SHOW ‘YELLOWSTONE’ IS MUST-WATCH TELEVISION)

Finally, John got Indian leader Thomas Rainwater thrown in jail for stealing cattle. This is a part I’m very excited. Obviously, Thomas isn’t staying in jail forever. It’d kill the story. No, he’s going to get out and raise all kinds of hell against the Dutton family.

He also knows Kayce killed the meth cooker. Will he leverage that information to get himself sprung from jail? It’s possible … and probably likely.

Another week down, four more to go and we haven’t been disappointed once. The Paramount Network really did hit another huge home run with “Yellowstone.”
