Bill Murray was accused of attacking celebrity photographer Peter Simon on Friday.

The actor allegedly grabbed Simon, who is the brother of famous singer Carly Simon, and slammed him up against a door in Martha’s Vineyard Times at Lola’s in Oak Bluffs. He also allegedly dumped a glass of water on him. (RELATED: Bill Murray Thinks Parkland Students Are Similar To Vietnam Protesters)

Simon reportedly asked Murray, “Do you know who I am?”

To which Murray said back, “Do you know who I am?”

Simon, who was at the venue to photograph a band, says he did not initially recognize Murray. “He doesn’t look anything like he used to look,” he told the Boston Globe. “He treated me like the scum of the earth.”

But the owner of Lola’s claims Simon had “no business photographing anyone in the restaurant and was generally annoying.”

Simon wrote her statement off as “a complete lie.”

“I’m not a paparazzi-type photographer, I’m just not,” Simon added. (RELATED: Bill Murray Has Some Choice Words For People Who Can’t Get Off Their Phones)

Police say Murray was “visibly upset” after the incident and that Simon would not leave him alone. Which seems strange, seeing as Simon claimed he initially didn’t recognize the star.

No charges have been pressed and nobody was injured.
