Pro Bowl Defensive End Slams Trump Over Anthem Controversy

Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Jordan went after the president in a series of tweets released Friday morning.
Jordan called the president things like “goober” and an “overly insecure prepubescent child.” He also blamed President Trump for the protests in Charlottesville a year ago this weekend. He ended his rant with “but what do I know I’m just a guy who should stick to football.”

Here are the tweets from the president that prompted this response by Jordan:

Trump’s tweets were in response to Miami Dolphins players Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson kneeling during the anthem in last night’s preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Their teammate Robert Quinn raised his fist during the anthem, as well.

Stills and Wilson received praise from Colin Kaepernick last night after the game. Kaepernick tweeted, “My brother @kstills continued his protest of systemic oppression tonight by taking a knee. Albert Wilson @iThinkIsee12 joined him in protest. Stay strong brothers!”
