Demi Lovato has reportedly left her rehab facility for mental health treatment with a psychiatrist in Chicago.

The 25-year-old singer landed in the Windy City early Friday morning with her mom after spending the last week at the rehabilitation center outside California, sources told  TMZ Friday. The move comes after her nearly two-week long stay at the hospital following her drug overdose last month. (RELATED: Report: Demi Lovato ‘Heading Straight To Rehab’ From Hospital)

The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer reportedly made the trip after learning that there was a psychiatrist there who specialized in “mental health, sobriety and overall wellness.” She is expected to be there for several days before returning back to the rehab facility.

On Thursday, news broke the remaining part of her “Tell Me You Love Me” World Tour had been canceled, scrapping shows in September in Mexico and several shows in South America in mid-November to allow for her “recovery.”

Lovato finally broke her silence on Sunday after leaving the hospital, promising her fans that she would “keep fighting.”

“I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction,” the singer captioned her post on Instagram. “What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”

“I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery,” she added. “The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting.”

Last month, she had to be rushed to the hospital after paramedics found her unconscious at her Hollywood Hills home from an overdose. It is still unknown what the exact substance was that caused her overdose, but it’s been reported that Lovato was given Narcan at the scene–a drug that is administered to counter the effects of opioids.
