Natalya Neidhart Shares Heartbreaking Message Following News Of Father’s Death
Natalya Neidhart broke her silence Monday and shared a heartbreaking message following news that her father Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart had died. He was 63.
“I can’t put into words how hard it is going to be for myself and our family to have to say goodbye to my dad. He meant the world to us, and nothing will ever replace the special times we shared together as a family,” the 36-year-old professional wrestler captioned her post on Instagram, along with a snapshot of her father. “My dad was always a fighter and an incredibly special person,” she added. ” There was no one like him! I’m just gonna miss him so much. We are going to hold all of the moments we had with him close to our hearts forever and never let them go. I promise to keep your memory alive. We love you so much, Daddy!”
“On behalf of my entire family, we would also like to personally thank everyone for the outpouring of thoughts and prayers,” she continued. “It’s meant so much to us.”
The remarks come after news broke earlier in the day that the wrestling legend passed away at his home in Florida after suffering from a medical emergency.
“Preliminary information indicates that [Neidhart] fell at home, hit his head and succumbed to his injury,” a spokesperson for the Pasco Sheriff’s Office told TMZ. “No foul play suspected. No additional information to release at this time.”
Nicknamed “The Anvil,” the star of the WWF in the 80s and 90s joined the Hart Foundation and was paired up with Bret “The Hitman” Hart. The duo was successful and took home the Tag Team Champion honor twice, defeating members like Legend of Doom and Nasty Boys.
