I have no choice but to sing the praises of Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide here. I just can’t believe they had the guts to schedule such an elite program like New Mexico State. Why would Saban risk playing a team that has won fewer than 25 games since the 2010 season? That takes true bravery. (RELATED: SEC FANS

Before you all jump down from the rafters here to attack me over Wisconsin, I’d like to point out Wisconsin played Mountain West powerhouse New Mexico. It’s just a shade different.
It’s simply amazing that I mock the SEC for scheduling cupcakes for the most part, and then Alabama rushes out to schedule a team their third string could probably beat by 30. It’s almost like they haven’t learned a single thing. I’m also very sure all the SEC fans and readers out there will have their heads explode when trying to justify this one to me. Before you waste your time, I dare anybody to find a team this poor that Wisconsin has played. You simply can’t. Some of us look to play the best in the country, and others will play weak teams to pad their states. It’s a real shame. I would never show my face in public if I made this decision. I’m not sure how Saban does it, but I guess we’re just built from two different kids of material.
