Country Singer Gretchen Wilson Has Charges Dropped After Airport Incident
Gretchen Wilson agreed to Thursday to give $500 to a charity and, in exchange, criminal charges against her will be dropped over a disturbance at a Connecticut airport.
The 45-year-old country singer appeared in Enfield Superior Court and a misdemeanor breach of peace charge was dismissed after she agreed to make the donation to an injured crime victims organization following her arrest in August by State police at Bradley International Airport, according to TMZ. The arrest stems from a series of incidents involving the “Redneck Woman” singer after she got into some type of shoving match with another passenger on board a plane over a bathroom dispute. Later, she was confronted at the airport by authorities where she was arrested after she became “belligerent” with police, according to Fox News.
The charges will officially drop off her record if she stays out of trouble for the next 13 months in that jurisdiction.
In 2007, the “Here For The Party” singer was involved in another airplane incident when she told flight attendants, “Fuck you,” after they requested that she place her dog back in its carrying case. In response, the singer was issued an in-flight citation.
