This Hurricane Prepper May Be The Most Committed Patriots Fan In The Country

An intensely committed Patriots fan living in a hurricane-prone zone boarded up his home with one of the more clever precautionary measures this week.

A Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, resident was seen boarding his home up with a reminder of the Super Bowl LI score in the third quarter. As I’m sure you’ll all remember, the Falcons were up 28-3 and could pretty much see their names engraved on that Lombardi Trophy. But Tom Brady had a different idea. And apparently, this guy isn’t letting the storm win either.

CBS Boston anchor and reporter Lisa Gresci captured the moment and posted it to Twitter.

“My friend is a true @Patriots fan! This is how he boarded up his house as he gets ready for #HurricaneFlorence @wbz #staysafemyfriend,” she tweeted alongside the photo.

I’m not even a Patriots fan, but I love this move. The unapologetic us-against-the-world mentality that every Pats fan has is beyond respectable. They walk around with their five rings like their hardware is insurance against disaster. That’s a winning attitude and it’s something I can get behind every day. I hope this guy’s house doesn’t have so much as a branch fall on it during Hurricane Florence.
