NFL QB Pulls Off Great Move For Madden Shooting Victim
Tampa Bay Buccaneers backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick sent an awesome care package this week to one of the victims of the recent Jacksonville shooting.
Fitzpatrick, who’s made recent headlines with the new nickname “Fitzmagic” for his stellar performance in Tampa Bay while starting QB Jameis Winston serves his three-game suspension, sent a signed jersey to the shooting victim, whose gamer tag is “Fitzmagic13.”
The young victim — real name George Amadeo — posted about it on Twitter.
“While I was in the hospital, Ryan Fitzpatrick called me for my birthday. He then sent me this, out of all the names that I could have picked, I’m glad I picked his. Ryan is a standup guy and this made my day,” he tweeted alongside a few photos of the jersey.

Amadeo, 18, was shot in the ankle when David Katz opened fire in Jacksonville Landing during a Madden gaming competition, killing two people and injuring 10. (RELATED: REPORT: JACKSONVILLE SHOOTER WAS HOSPITALIZED FOR MENTAL ILLNESS)
Fitzpatrick makes his second debut of the season on Sunday against fellow backup QB Nick Foles of the Philadelphia Eagles.
