Ariana Grande Breaks Silence On Ex Mac Miller’s Death: ‘So Sorry I Couldn’t Fix Or Take Your Pain Away’
Ariana Grande finally broke her silence on Friday following the shocking news last week that Mac Miller had died from an apparent drug overdose.
Miller was found dead at his Southern California home last Friday. He was 26.
“I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen and I always will. I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore,” the 25-year-old singer captioned her post on Instagram, along with an old video of the young rapper and her out to dinner. “I really can’t wrap my head around it,” she added. “We talked about this. So many times. I’m so mad, I’m so sad I don’t know what to do. You were my dearest friend. For so long.”
Grande continued, “Above anything else. I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. Rest.”
A day after news broke about the superstar rapper’s death, she posted a picture of him on Instagram with no caption.
The “Bang Bang” singer and Miller dated for two years before announcing they had split earlier this year. Shortly after, the pop star made headlines when reports surfaced she and “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson were engaged.
