The tennis champion turns 37 years old today, and she has packed in a massive career during her two decades in the tennis world.
Many experts and pundits consider Serena Williams one of the best tennis players in the world. She’s been ranked the number one eight times between 2002-2017 and holds 39 major titles. That puts her in a pretty elite class of athletes, considering she also holds 23 Grand Slam singles.
As of September 2018, it’s estimated that Serena has accumulated nearly $88,233,301 in prize money.
Serena shouldn’t be hurting for money any time soon. But just in case she is, she likely won’t have to worry since she’s married to one of the most well-known tech startup CEOs in the world. Williams wed Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in 2016, and they have one daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, together.
