World-famous musician John Mayer gave a thought-provoking performance this weekend … in every sense of the word.

The “Your Body Is A Wonderland” singer gave an impromptu discussion about the culture of raising alpha males, and how we should encourage young boys to respect women and exhibit more restraint when it comes to dating. (RELATED: John Mayer Rushed To The Hospital For Emergency Surgery)

It all went down at the Modell Performing Arts Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Mayer was entertaining at a cancer benefit on Sunday when, after performing his hit song, “Daughters,” he went off on a riff about raising boys to be more sensitive.

At one point, Mayer calls the process of growing up a “bullish*t alpha male contract,” and may even allude to the recent confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court just the day before — though he never outright uses Kavanaugh’s name. “I don’t want it to be the male contract … we have to tear the contract up,” he says, adding, “I don’t think it’s controversial. I think it’s the truth. And I don’t want to sing, ‘Fathers be good to your daughters,’ and walk away without adding this amendment to that statement.”
