I don’t think anybody is really too surprised that Alabama is sitting at -130, and the next closest team is Clemson at +450. Would I have put Ohio State a little higher with some better odds? Sure, but Alabama is on cruise control for the playoff. There’s likely nobody in the SEC that can hang with them. So getting there is half the battle, and the Tide should be able to do that just fine. (RELATED: The Latest College Football AP Poll Is Here. The Number Nine Team Will Surprise You)
Georgia being at +700 tells me oddsmakers aren’t confident the SEC is getting Alabama and another team in. It tells me at this point, it’s one or the other, and the experts are all in on the Tide. In a matchup between the two squads, I would also heavily take Nick Saban and company.
Finally, it’s nice to see Wisconsin at +3,300. People are finally starting to realize we’re certainly not out of the running. Throw down a mortgage on them!
