Minnesota’s newest starting right tackle is one of the most impressive examples of human ability on the face of the planet.

Daniel Faalele was recruited to the University Of Minnesota in 2017 and is their newest starting right tackle, as of this Tuesday. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Gambling Picks For Week Seven Of College Football)

At 6 feet 9 inches, weighing 399 pounds, Faalele — who is Samoan by descent — was recruited straight out of Australia. And up until about 18 months ago, Faalele hadn’t played football at all. (RELATED: It Wasn’t A Pretty Weekend For Our College Football Gambling Picks. Let’s Look At The Damage)

“He didn’t even know what a yard was,” offensive lineman Curtis Dunlap explained to Sports Illustrated after he was recruited.

But it pays to be larger than 99 percent of men on the planet, and after a year of intensive football training and studying tape, Faalele is ready to make his debut as a starter.
